Student Loans for Summer

If you plan to attend summer classes at KSU for the current academic year and need federal financial aid, including the Pell Grant, you must have the 2024-2025 FAFSA on file. If you know you need financial aid to afford college 鈥 or if you think there's a chance you will need it 鈥 we encourage you to file the 2024-2025 FAFSA.

If you already have a 2024-2025 FAFSA on file, you do not need to file a new application.

You must also be enrolled at least half-time (six credit hours for undergraduate, five credit hours for graduate) in the summer and meet KSU鈥檚 Satisfactory Academic Progress standards to be considered for federal loans.

How to Apply

HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships

The HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships are available for the summer term if you are eligible. There is no minimum number of hours of enrollment required to receive these scholarships in the summer.

You must either have a Georgia Student Finance Application (GSFAPP) or the 2024-2025 FAFSA on file to be considered for the HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship in the summer.
